No dia 9 de julho de 2022, concluiu-se a Pós-Graduação «Gestão Integrada das Aprendizagens - Educação Pré-Escolar e 1º Ciclo do Ensino Básico», promovida e organizada no âmbito de uma parceria entre a Fundação Aga Khan Portugal (AKF Prt) e a Universidade Católica do Porto.
Foremost among the principles of the Shia Ismaili Tariqah of Islam is the recognition of the Imam of the Time. Imamat Day is an occasion to reaffirm this principle, express gratitude to Mawlana Hazar Imam, and to reaffirm our spiritual allegiance to the Imam and our commitment to the ethics of the faith.
On the 8th of July, alongside our sisters and brothers in Islam, we commemorated Eid al-Adha, the Festival of Sacrifice. The occasion recalls the monotheistic ethos at the heart of the Abrahamic traditions of Judaism, Christianity, and Islam.
On behalf of the global Ismaili Jamat, a gift was presented to Mawlana Hazar Imam on the joyous occasion of his 65th Imamat Day. The gift, as mentioned by Hazar Imam in his Imamat Day Talika, is an ‘alam, or processional standard, from Safavid Persia, dating to 1651 CE. Learn more about this special gift in this short video.
Rethinking Mental Health: A Commonwealth Call to Support, Care and Transform
The Aga Khan Health Services (AKHS) is one of three agencies of the Aga Khan Development Network (AKDN) that support activities in health. The others are the Aga Khan Foundation (AKF) and the Aga Khan University (AKU). Together, the three agencies provide quality healthcare to five million people annually and work closely on planning, training and resource development. AKHS also works with the Aga Khan Education Services (AKES) and the Aga Khan Agency for Habitat (AKAH) on the integration of health issues into specific projects.
As the evening sun shone brightly above the Lisbon sky, a chorus of birds were the supporting act as guests arrived at the spectacular São Jorge Castle for an open-air concert by the Aga Khan Master Musicians on the evening of 8 July.

In July 2021, Roxana Sultan, an experienced health sector executive, had the opportunity to serve on a remote TKN assignment to support AKU’s Cancer Center and Brain and Mind Institute. The six-month assignment culminated in the establishment of a new partnership to enhance cancer care and mental well-being.
Originally from Ahmedabad, India, Noorin started her journey with an Engineering degree (Electrical) and later completed MBA from The University of Queensland in 2015. Noorin is currently working as a Project Manager with the Australian Department of Defence, where she is leading multi-million-dollar Air Force projects. In the last 16 years, she has worked in various industries including aviation, manufacturing, renewable, utility, oil, gas, and mining industries.
Noorin’s exceptional work has been published and recognised through various awards including the ‘Top Talent’ award, ‘Leading Executive Trainee’ award and ‘Act Like Owner’ award.
