The Conciliation and Arbitration Boards
Throughout its history, the Shia Ismaili Muslim community has maintained a tradition of resolving disputes and differences through a voluntary process of mediation, conciliation and arbitration. In 1986, His Highness the Aga Khan established a global institutional framework known as the Conciliation and Arbitration Boards (CABs) to provide dispute resolution services for the Ismaili community.
