Women's Activities Portfolio
Women’s Activities Portfolio is a volunteer organisation under the Ismaili Council for the United Kingdom (UK). It was established to assist the welfare of women in the Ismaili Muslim Community in the UK. Through workshops, seminars and advice, WAP aims to improve the well being of Women in the community.
October is international Domestic Abuse Awareness Month, an initiative launched to connect and unite individuals and organisations working on domestic abuse issues, as well as raise awareness of these issues. Women from diverse backgrounds came together to celebrate, identify their strengths and hear about inspirational women. The event was organised by the Women’s Activities Portfolio of the Ismaili Council for the United Kingdom, and was the third consecutive time that the Ismaili community marked the occasion in the UK.
