On October 9, a 16-year-old Ismaili para-athlete Umed Mamadkulov from Moscow became the first person in Russia with Down syndrome who managed to overcome the distance of 26.1 km in the duathlon format at the IRONSTAT SPRINT TRIATHLON SOCHI СИРИУС 2022. Umed, Tajik by nationality, represented Moscow city at the sports festival, which took place in Sochi from October 7-9, 2022.

The Ismaili Studies Conference: The State of the Field will be hosted in a hybrid format at the Aga Khan Centre in London from 21-23 November 2022, allowing participants to attend in person and online from around the world.
