On the weekend of 25th and 26th September 2021, the Shia Ismaili Muslim community from around the world came together, united, to mark the inaugural Global Ismaili CIVIC Day. The theme was Environmental Stewardship and hundreds of events/projects took place worldwide which made a difference to the beneficiaries.
Durante el fin de semana del 25 y 26 de septiembre de 2021, la comunidad musulmana shi´í ismailí de todo el mundo se movilizó, unida, para celebrar el primer Día Mundial de Ismaili CIVIC. El lema era la protección medioambiental y se llevaron a cabo cientos de eventos/proyectos en todo el mundo que supusieron una gran diferencia para los beneficiarios.
Dunia, Farshed, Farzod, Nalina and Naya (eight to ten years old), Bernardo and Ali Mohamad (twelve to thirteen years old) are primary Ta‘lim students from Spain Jamat. At the exact moment of the spring’s equinox – vernal equinox – the sun crosses the celestial equator, marking in the northern hemisphere when day begins to gain ascendancy overnight, and light over darkness. This phenomenon known as Nawruz in Persian, has fascinated humankind for millennia. Spring is a time of renewed life and it holds tremendous symbolic significance in the art, architecture, ritual and literature of many cultures.

Research from the National Coalition for Parent Involvement in Education shares that “no matter their income or background, students with involved parents are more likely to have higher grades and test scores, attend school regularly, have better social skills, show improved behavior and adapt well to school.”
Every year we celebrate special festivals with our Jamat. On these days, we gather with the Jamat to pray and to recite munajats, qasidas and ginans. We listen to the Farmans of Mawlana Hazar Imam and seek his blessings. We give special greetings to our brothers and sisters in the Jamat. And we share with them the happiness of the festivals.
ITREB and Womens Activities Portfolio got together on Saturday, March 12, starting celebrations for Navroz 2022, by teaching and making sherbet with the children from Talim classes.
