SECOND EXTENSION OF THE STATE OF EMERGENCY

The National Council would like to inform the Jamat that, yesterday, May 28th, the President of the Republic of Mozambique announced the second extension of the State of Emergency, starting from 1 June to 30 June.

Mozambique - Tax Measures in Response to COVID -19

In order to mitigate the economic impact of COVID-19 on businesses, the Government of Mozambique approved some tax and custom measures by means of Decree No. 23/2020, of 27 April.
Right to a safe work

Up until now, there was no specific Mozambique legislation on the COVID-19 outbreak. The government announced precautionary measures covering travel restrictions, suspending gatherings over 50 people, closure of schools and other preventative measures to reduce contamination.
