On 29 April 2018, the Province of Ontario and the Aga Khan Academies network of schools formally extended their partnership on mutually beneficial education projects, as part of the renewal of initiatives under an agreement between the Province and the Ismaili Imamat.

The Ismaili Centre Dubai together with Art Week, a collaboration now in its fifth year, The Aga Khan Museum in Toronto, Roshan (the largest telecom operator in Afghanistan) and the Consulate General of Canada in Dubai, hosted an event in celebration of the opening of a photographic exhibition by the award-winning British photographer Jessica Fulford-Dobson entitled “Skate Girls of Kabul”.
Aga Khan Foundation (AKF), an agency of the Aga Khan Development Network (AKDN), organized a seminar titled, “Doing Well by Doing Good: A Discussion on Business and Philanthropy,” at the Ismaili Jamatkhana and Centre, in Bashundhara. The seminar brought together representatives from some of the country’s top business houses to deliberate on how businesses can contribute more systematically and sustainably to social development in Bangladesh through corporate philanthropy and corporate social responsibility.
