International Volunteers Day was observed on Thursday, 5th December. To honor this occasion, ANZ is celebrating Volunteer Week from 5th to 8th December.
The Aga Khan Education Board for Australia and New Zealand (AKEB ANZ), in collaboration with the Ismaili CIVIC team, recently organised a highly successful STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) Day at the Migrant Refugee Resettlement Centre in Auckland managed by the Faculty of Culture and Society, Auckland University of Technology. This exciting initiative engaged 57 students representing 9 nationalities and speaking 13 different languages, all newly arrived in New Zealand. The event aimed to inspire and educate young minds through a series of interactive workshops, fun activities, and a strong focus on STEAM learning.
With excitement and anticipation, the Faanoos will today begin its journey around the world in the lead up to the 2025 Global Encounters Festival.
