Our international camps for youth aged 15 to 17 will take place in partnership with the Aga Khan Academies in Kenya and India, and the Aga Khan University in Pakistan. During the programme, youth build friendships with Ismaili peers worldwide, engage in service, experience the AKDN’s work in action, and discover what it means to be a global citizen.
Since 2012, over 2,000 participants from 36 countries have participated in GE Camps. They have spent over 80,000 hours learning about and contributing to local communities. Alumni have shared how this experience has strengthened their confidence, increased their connection to their roots and communities, and enhanced their leadership skills. Participant applications are open for youth aged 15-17, and volunteer applications are open to individuals that have graduated university or college. The camp application opens on November 29, 2024.
For young adults and professionals aged 18-30, the GE Internship Programme will take place for six weeks from May - July 2025 in India, Pakistan and Kyrgyzstan, in partnership with AKDN and Jamati agencies. If you are interested in broadening your horizons, building career skills and contributing to the development sector, we encourage you to apply! The internships application opens on December 1, 2024.
