In a unique celebration of knowledge and learning, the Aga Khan University (AKU) will host a Global Convocation ceremony on Saturday 26 February 2022. The special virtual ceremony will bring together AKU’s graduating classes in Kenya, Pakistan, Tanzania, Uganda, and the UK, and will include an address by Princess Zahra on behalf of the Chancellor.

The Global Pluralism Award winners will be selected from among 10 finalists, selected by the renowned international jury.

Wishing to share the beauty of Hunza’s mountains with the world, a group of young Ismailis recently set not one but two Guinness World Records: the “Highest Cultural Dance Performance” and the “Highest DJ Set” ever performed.

The ‘East’ Tower, reaching a height of some 220 metres, will present breath-taking views of the Mumbai skyline and the Arabian Sea.

Leaders from the Jamat and AKDN celebrated the commencement of the redevelopment of the Aga Hall Estate in South Mumbai on Sunday 13 February. The ground-breaking ceremony was led by Ashish Merchant, President of the National Council for India, who himself was born on the estate and continues to live there today.
