REGIONAL ANNOUNCEMENTS FOR ALL MEMBERS

  • Eager to serve, work with other volunteers, and upgrade your skills?   • Online technology classes for AGI members will be held every Sunday at 11:00 a.m. The next class in September 15, 2024.

  • Regional college expedition to Georgia Tech will be held on Sunday, September 29 from 10:00  a.m. to 2:00 p.m! This is an opportunity for all high school students and parents to explore one of the top universities in the country, and hear from current Georgia Tech students, and learn about the college admissions process. Please register by September 23.

  • The Southeast Ismaili Volunteers invite all active volunteers and their families to a volunteer celebration on October 13 at Victor Laird Park in Winder, GA. Deadline to Register is September 6.

  • Southeast ITREB is pleased to announce a Frequently Asked Questions session to take place at Atlanta Northwest Jamatkhana on Saturday, September 21 after jamatkhana ceremonies. Panelists will discuss the role of monetary offerings in our tariqah and include Al Waeza Dr. Nargis Virani, Al Waez Nadim Pabani, and STEP RAL Mehak Lalani.

  • Join award-winning Ismaili journalist Ali Velshi on September 22 at 7:45 p.m/ at Northeast Jamatkhana as he shares his family's remarkable 125-year migration journey—from a tiny, drought-stricken village under British colonial rule in Gujarat, through the harsh apartheid realities of South Africa and the nationalistic backlash in Kenya, to the democratic opportunities and privileges of North America. Velshi will discuss themes of perseverance, the fight for equality, and the experiences of being Muslim in the United States. This event is open to the Jamat, including multi-faith family members.

Atlanta Headquarters:

  • Celebrate Global Ismaili CIVIC Day with a river cleanup on September 15 at Mason Mill Park in Decatur from 2:00 - 5:00 p.m.

  • “Sui Dhaaga”, a basic to intermediate level alteration class for interested IWG members will be held on September 15 at 5:00 p.m. in Jamatkhana.

  • Flu vaccines will be offered in Jamatkhana on October 6 from 9:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. in collaboration with Walgreens . Registration is required.

Atlanta Northeast:

  • Join us on September 13 after Jamatkhana for a fun-filled evening with youth volunteers who will demonstrate how to read food labels, followed by group activities.

  • Celebrate Global Ismaili CIVIC Day with a river cleanup on September 15 at Lions Club Park in Lilburn from 2:00 - 5:00 p.m.

Atlanta Northwest:

  • Celebrate Global Ismaili CIVIC Day with a river cleanup on September 15 at Peachtree Creek Greenway in Brookhaven from 2:00 - 5:00 p.m.

  • IWG invites all ladies to join us at the book club for a discussion on "The Henna Artist" on Friday, September 27 after Jamatkhana.

Atlanta South:

  • Join the Wellness Center on September 13, after Jamatkhana, to meet healthcare experts & learn about cardiovascular disease & support provided by the Health Board. Healthcare professionals will also be available for free consultation.

  • Celebrate Global Ismaili CIVIC Day with a river cleanup on September 15 at Ridge Nature Area in Fayetteville from 2:00 - 5:00 p.m.

Duluth:

  • Join us on September 13 after Jamatkhana for a fun-filled evening with youth volunteers who will demonstrate how to read food labels, followed by group activities.

Chattanooga:

  • An entertainment program for all AGI members will be held on September 15 from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. in Birmingham.

Knoxville:

  • Join us for a fun and creative exercise session combining fitness with Garba dance steps! Starting September 10, every Tuesday through October 1 for thirty minutes after Jamatkhana.

Memphis:

  • Celebrate Global Ismaili CIVIC Day with a river cleanup on September 15 at North Highland Neighborhood in Memphis from 10:00 - 12:00 p.m.

  • An entertainment program for all AGI members will be held on September 15 from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. in Birmingham.

  • Join us for an inspiring lifestyle and behavior modification program, '10TTplus', after Jamatkhana activities on September 27. This program is designed to help you improve your diet, nutrition, physical activity, and mental health. Register now to secure your spot!

Nashville:

  • An Ice Cream Social for students and their families will be held at the Mcewen Northside location of Jeni's Ice Cream on Saturday, September 21 after Jamatkhana.

  • Celebrate Global Ismaili CIVIC Day with a river cleanup on September 15 at Tygerberry Landing in Duncan from 10:00 - 12:00 p.m.
