The National Conciliation and Arbitration Board marks Conflict Resolution Day.

Conflict Resolution Day is celebrated globally on the third Thursday in October of each year.

This year it falls on Thurs 20 Oct. Conceived by the Association for Conflict Resolution (ACR) in 2005, it promotes the peaceful resolution of conflicts in all areas of our lives.

Conflicts are an inevitable part of our lives,however it is important that these are addressed in a peaceful manner to achieve the best outcome for all parties involved and achieve a win – win outcome, with no winners or losers.

Mawlana Hazar Imam established the Conciliation and Arbitration Boards (CAB) in 1986 to enable the Jamat resolve their differences in a fair, equitable, cost effective and amicable manner.

The CAB system has grown since then and now has presence in19 countries under the auspices of the International Conciliation and Arbitration Board. Disputes and differences are dealt with by trained mediators with utmost confidentiality and within the ethics of Islam.
