The Aga Khan Development Network and the Municipality of Oeiras have provided Mozambique with medical and personal protection equipment as part of the measures to combat COVID-19 and to support hospitals serving the north of the country.
Following their joint cooperation actions with the Portuguese-speaking African Countries (PALOP), the Aga Khan Development Network (AKDN) and the Oeiras City Council handed the Mozambican Ambassador in Portugal 2 ventilators, 10 thousand surgical masks and 12 thousand reusable masks. Three laboratory analysis equipment and two microscopes were also donated to Ibo Hospital, as well as about 400 packages of children's vitamin complexes destined for the north of the country.
The delivery ceremony of this equipment took place this Friday, July 3, at the Imamat Ismaili Delegation in Lisbon.
