Naseem Aziz Ali works on the frontline of the Covid-19 pandemic in Dubai by caring for potentially infected patients in her roles as a diabetic case manager nurse and clinic manager.

Naseem, originally from Pakistan, said she was inspired to go into nursing because of the guidance and support provided by Mawlana Hazar Imam.

She said the hardest part of working as a healthcare professional during the pandemic is taking care of herself and other colleagues.

“The Covid-19 virus has created significant challenges for healthcare workers as well as for the public sectors. It is vitally important to have proper communication to the public regarding necessary actions to be taken to protect themselves and control the spread of infection.”

Her advice to the Jamat is to “stay home, stay safe, and keep social distances when you are out. Wash your hands frequently and use protective equipment. Keep yourself hydrated and be aware of all signs and symptoms of Covid-19.”

She also advises the public to avoid visiting hospitals unnecessarily and to follow the instructions of authorised health authorities and governments.
