Misbah Javaid, who hails from Karachi, Pakistan, is currently working at the Belhoul Speciality Hospital in Dubai as a frontline emergency nurse. She takes care of different types of Covid-19 patients, including high risk ones with multiple illnesses.

She said Iife is a challenge to accept such patients as they have lower immunity levels and are more prone to hospital-acquired infections. Her job also involves calming patients that are Covid-19 negative but feel they have caught the infection.

Misbah completed her BSc in Nursing from DOW University Hospital in 2015. Misbah loves the profession of nursing because it allows her to serve humanity and is the best way to allow her to help those in need. She feels joyful when she sees smiles on her patients' faces. She is highly inspired by her mother who works at the Aga Khan Hospital in Karachi.

Her advice for the Jamat is to "Eat healthy, stay at home and only come to hospital if you have symptoms of Covid-19. Prevention is always better than cure; simple precautions can help you be safe and also protect your loved ones. Don’t forget to speak to your doctor for health advice and avoid going out of your houses," she said.
