In 1992, Dr Mahmadshoev applied to the Tajik State Medical University to study medicine. However, he had to flee Dushanbe due to the civil war erupting that same year. He resumed his education in 1997 and after graduating, he continued his clinical residency at the Bakulev National Medical Research Centre of Cardiac Surgery, from which he graduated in 2010. In 2015 he obtained his postgraduate degree in medicine from the same institution. Since then, he has worked with the Aga Khan Foundation in Moscow.
On a daily basis, Dr Mahmadshoev is in touch with patients and is serving as a contact person between patients and doctors.
His message to the Jamat is to “be aware and take all precautionary measures.”
