Diamond Jubilee
Mawlana Hazar Imam arrived in Pakistan Thursday evening for his Diamond Jubilee visit, accompanied by Princess Zahra.
Upon Hazar Imam's arrival at the Nur Khan Airbase in Islamabad, he was received by the Minister for Foreign Affairs, Khawaja Asif, the Minister of State for Capital Administration and Development, Tariq Fazal Chaudhry, as well as the President of the Ismaili Council for Pakistan, Hafiz Sherali. Leaders of AKDN and Jamati Institutions in Pakistan were also present at the airport to receive Hazar Imam.
Prince Amyn graced an Imamat Day reception on 23 November at the Ismaili Centre Lisbon, held to honour Mawlana Hazar Imam’s Diamond Jubilee.
Prince Rahim was the guest of honour at a celebration hosted by The Institute of Ismaili Studies (IIS) in London on 24 November 2017. The reception followed a commemorative lecture held at the Ismaili Centre London the previous evening. The events took place to mark 40 years since the establishment of the IIS in 1977.

The Leaders’ International Forum (LIF) announced Friday that Mawlana Hazar Imam will visit Canada in November this year. In addition to presiding over the inaugural Global Centre for Pluralism (GCP) Award ceremony in Ottawa and attending meetings of the GCP Board, Mawlana Hazar Imam will meet with Eastern Canada Jamats in the jurisdictions of the Councils of Ontario, Ottawa, Quebec, and Maritime Provinces.
Jubilee Concerts debuted its first performances in 7 cities across the United States, with upcoming events planned in Europe and Asia. International recording artists Salim and Sulaiman Merchant were accompanied on the US tour by award winning performers Sukriti Kakkar and Vipul Mehta, along with a 16-member band.
Mawlana Hazar Imam departed from Tanzania on 12 October after completing his second Diamond Jubilee visit.
