Global Encounters Camps
Each Global Encounters Camp has a unique feel, however, there are comon threads that runs through each programme. Each programme believes in experiential learning and service learning. Participants will have the opporuntity to work with and learn from local orgnisations while working on service projects with community members. We truly believe in the African proverb “If you want to go fast, go alone, if you want to go far, go together.”
Global Encounters Camp Kenya
Our Kenya camp is the first of the Global Encounters Camps. The programme is based at the Aga Khan Academy Mombasa, the first Academy established globally in the network of international schools. Participants will partner with government schools in Mombasa, experience AKDN projects in Mombasa and Nairobi, visit incredible beaches, and go on a world-class safari.
