Global Encounters Camps
Each Global Encounters Camp has a unique feel, however, there are comon threads that runs through each programme. Each programme believes in experiential learning and service learning. Participants will have the opporuntity to work with and learn from local orgnisations while working on service projects with community members. We truly believe in the African proverb “If you want to go fast, go alone, if you want to go far, go together.”
Global Encounters Camp India
Global Encounters India is based at the Aga Khan Academy in Hyderabad, the largest campus of the flagship international academies. What distinguishes this camp from the other Global Encounters offerings is its unique partnership with the Aga Khan Trust for Culture (AKTC) in India. Participants spend time learning about the AKTC, where they take part in tours and discussions with conservation architects at Humayun's Tomb and Qutb Shahi Tombs, see the power of culture as a tool for development in the Nizamuddin Basti, and explore the arts through workshops with skilled artisans and artists.
