We would like to invite you to film yourselves making your face covering, and send the short video's to [email protected]
Instructions on how to make, film and send in your submissions can be found below

We are looking for clips of people demonstrating how to make and wear a face covering (for example, explaining how to make one using a bandana). Your clips would then be made into a longer video, with the rough format:

• Introduction - e.g. How to make a face covering at home
• Demonstration video: bandana / piece of cloth
• Core health guidance
• Putting the covering on safely

Some guidance on how to put on a facemask can be found by clicking here

Please follow the instructions below on how to make your face covering

This will form part of a Government campaign, and we ask that you follow the guidelines below:

•        Say ‘face coverings’, not ‘face masks’
•        Anything created must cover the top of the nose to the bottom of the chin
•        Avoid the use of the word handkerchief
•        When putting on the face covering, try not to touch the area of the covering that will go over the face - put on using the bands

Guidance for shooting your film
• Shoot landscape
• Make sure your lens is clean
• Don’t stand too far away from your phone (don’t zoom in)
• Stand still during the piece. It’s fine to make and put on your mask, but don’t move/walk around too much.
• Frame the camera so your head isn’t touching the top of the screen

Please e-mail your video's to [email protected] by Friday 8th May 2020
