Volunteers all over London rose with the sun to help distribute face masks at London’s tube stations to assist the national effort to Covid-19. The volunteers worked in accordance with the government guidelines that stated from the 15th June face coverings were mandatory on public transport. Together, the volunteers ensured the delivery of PPE to all passengers.
The CIVIC team worked across London to ensure the safety of passengers which continued in June and July. They assumed the role of monitoring and replenishing the supply of face masks available to the public.
