● Drops Fun Language learning: A vocabulary learning app featuring illustrations with more than 2600 words. It is a paid app, with a monthly or yearly subscription fee. However, a free trial is available for users. Available for iOS and Android.
● italki: italki will help your learning, because you have one-to-one classes with native speakers. It has more than 5 million learners and you choose the teacher or tutor you want. There is no monthly subscription. However, teachers set up their own fees.
● Linguee App: The Linguee App is a free and comprehensive dictionary available for all Android and iOS users. This app is specialized in helping learn a new language and is available and free both on and offline.
● Loecsen: A free tool to help you learn Portuguese online. You start by learning basic and essential expressions like “thank you” and “how much is it?”
● Memrise: Memrise is an app available both for Android and iOS that will help you learn a new language, using videos, the help of native speakers and other tools. It will allow you not only to understand a new language, but also its inherent culture. You can choose between a monthly, annual or lifetime subscription fee, having a free introductory lesson.
● Pimsleur: Pimsleur focus on conversational skills, especially with 30 minute audio lessons. It offers a free trial. Nonetheless, you need to acquire a paid subscription after that period.
Online Courses and Podcasts/Videos:
● Anita’s Portuguese Lessons: Anita’s YouTube channel will help you learn Portuguese with her quick, short videos and tips.
● Learn European Portuguese Online: A website to help you learn Portuguese. Three different subscription options that vary from offering free YouTube videos (tier 1) to vocabulary lists (tier 2) and padlet group with various weekly assignments (tier 3)
● Mia Esmeriz Academy and course: Mia Esmeriz is a professional Portuguese teacher that has a blog where she shares her knowledge and help you learn Portuguese in an effective and fast manner, focusing on common expressions, your pronunciation and vocabulary. She also offers several courses and has more than one thousand satisfied students.
● Practice Portuguese: Free website that offers podcasts and videos to help you learn, exercise and practice this language through various methods. The subscription fee is 15€ per month and you will benefit from unlimited access to all the website, being able to cancel the subscription at any moment.

● Podcasts Portuguese with Carla: The Portuguese with Carla podcasts are entirely dedicated to learning the Portuguese and are hosted by Carla and her husband, born and loved in Portugal for their whole lives. You can expect high quality audios, colloquial language, idiomatic expressions, memorization tricks and other interesting topics.
● Portuguese Lab Academy: Website that offers you access to many videos and other in-depth multimedia courses for comprehension online self-paced learning. The subscription is $35 per month
Other Online Resources:
● Portuguese Online Platform: An online platform that offers free online language courses by the Portuguese Government. Open to everyone, you can learn and benefit from tutors, exercises and exams.
● Coolverb: A free online resource to practice verbs’ conjugation.
Conversation Groups:
● Speak Social: The SPEAK group is present all around the World and in more than 12 cities in Portugal, that go from Lisbon, to Coimbra and Amarante. The classes integrate conversations and expressions from day to day and everyday life. The sessions are full of games and group activities, and time flies and you will be able to learn and meet people from all over the World, both in person and online. Groups between 4 to 12 participants and cost 29€ for 12 (90-minute) session.
