What to Do if Someone dies Abroad
It can be a challenging and emotional time when someone passes away, but it may seem even more distressing if they die abroad.

For most of us, bereavement will be the most distressing experience we will ever face. Grief is what we feel when somebody we are close to dies. Everyone experiences grief differently and there is no normal or right way to grieve. There are various organisations which provide advice and support during these challenging times, some of these have been listed below:

Child Benefit is money paid to parents or other people who are responsible for bringing up a child.  You can now claim child benefit for new-borns before registering their birth. There are no specific age rules for the person making the claim. This is not a means tested benefit. Although child benefit is not taxable, you may be liable for a tax charge if you or your partner earn over £50,000.
