Houston’s Mayor Sylvester Turner accepted a donation of half a million reusable face masks from Focus Humanitarian Assistance USA (FOCUS) and the Ismaili Council for the Southwestern US. The formal announcement of the donation took place at Houston’s City Hall on 17 June 2020.

As a part of Covid Crisis Response a Volunteer Training has been scheduled for Maputo, Nampula, Beira and Tete. The purpose for this training is to build capacity within the volunteers corps to better serve the Jamat during home isolation and in the isolation centre should the need arise. The training will focus on use of personal protective equipment, nutrition, trash and laundry handling.
