GLOBAL STEM FESTIVAL
Based on these four areas of expertise, the Global STEM Festival focuses on providing children and young adults (3-17 year olds) an opportunity to explore concepts and acquire skills they will need to be successful in their life and careers.
The festival encourages participants of our Global Jamat to explore the vital skills that will help them to drive change in their upcoming endeavors and become the Leaders of the Future.
We invite parents to engage in this Festival by accompanying their child throughout the whole journey - from finding inspiration; learning the key concepts needed for the project; developing, recording and submitting their project; and of course participating in the Festival Finale together.
As the Government of Western Australia states, it is predicted that in 15 years, more than 75% of new jobs will require STEM skills.
In fact, as we see a growing search for STEM-related jobs, an investment in these skills proves to be beneficial in a child's education, as it provides them the necessary competencies to succeed professionally.
Throughout the years, STEM is becoming even more present in our lives as the world is, exactly, evolving around Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics, allowing us to tackle everyday challenges and improving our quality of life.
In add-on, the importance of STEM is amplified in our world as it has constantly been a key instrument in shrinking the gender and ethnic gaps at times found in these fields.
Based the capacities achieved in these areas, following a STEM approach will allow children and young adults to develop skills such as creativity, problem solving, critical thinking, adaptability, technological skills, teamwork, communication and leadership, providing them the foundation to achieve their goals.
By participating in the Global STEM Festival, children and young adults will be able to not only learn but also develop key skills for their future.
