He describes the moment as being “completely dead lost.” However, since this was his final chess tournament as a high school student, he did not want to regret what could have been, so he continued to play.

AKTC: Aga Khan Award for Architecture 2019 Winning Projects

The 2019 Master Jury selected six projects to receive the Award that encompass three dominant themes: living heritage, ecological resiliency, and inclusive commons.
The themes are reflected in the vocabulary of the Master Jury’s deliberations, which consistently came back to notions of anchorage, cultural identity, adaptability, low-impact design, environment, collaboration, community purpose, empowerment, leadership, dignity, hybridity, and public good.
