Prince Hussain visited the Ismaili Centre, Lisbon yesterday to inaugurate an exhibition of artwork designed by students from the Portugal Jamat’s Talim (religious education) classes, inspired by The Living Sea photo exhibition currently on display at the National Museum of Natural History and Science in Lisbon.
In November 2019, Prince Hussain offered a series of guided tours to Ismaili youth and children visiting his photographic exhibit in Lisbon. The exhibition features over 100 photos depicting the beauty, fragility, and diversity of marine life, reflecting Prince Hussain’s ecological and environmental concerns.

On the occasion of World Volunteer Day, 5 December 2019, The Ismaili is pleased to release the official song and music video to celebrate the centenary of the Ismaili Volunteer Corps (IVC), featuring participation from 41 countries across the world.
In 2019, Jamats around the world have been celebrating the 100th anniversary of the Ismaili Volunteer Corps (IVC). Throughout its history, the IVC has aimed to serve the needs of the Jamat. Within the ethic of improving the quality of life of all humanity, the IVC also serves the broader communities of which the Jamat is a part. This service to society is seen as a civic responsibility and has always been an important part of IVC’s work.
Youth from the Singapore Ismaili Muslim community participated in 4PM’s (Persatuan Persuratan Pemuda Pemudi Melayu or the Malay Youth Literary Association) inaugural annual ministerial dialogue on 2 November 2019. This year’s Guest of Honour was Deputy Prime Minister (DPM) Heng Swee Keat. During the hour-long closed-door dialogue session attended by some 300 Muslim youths, DPM Heng spoke on numerous topics ranging from Singapore’s upcoming challenges to larger trends afoot in the world. He also responded to a wide range of questions and comments from the audience, including from Singapore Ismaili youths.

Mawlana Hazar Imam presided over the 14th cycle of the award, which is presented every three years to projects that set new standards of excellence in architecture, planning practices, historic preservation, and landscape architecture.
