Last week, special guests attended an Imamat Day reception at the Diwan of the Ismaili Imamat in Lisbon. They were treated to a special performance by the Aga Khan Master Musicians, renowned performers and composer-arrangers in collaboration with the Amara Quartet, an all-female ensemble known for their contemporary renditions of the Portuguese traditional Fado.

During his visit, Prince Rahim met with government, Jamati and institutional leaders, and visited AKDN projects in Gilgit-Baltistan. Pakistan’s President, Asif Ali Zardari, conferred the Nishan-i-Pakistan on Prince Rahim for his “untiring efforts to improving the quality of life of peoples in resource-constrained regions of Asia and Africa”.
