Stay up to date with the planned road traffic restrictions in Lisbon from August 1 to 6, due to World Youth Day activities taking place in the Portuguese capital.

The World Youth Day will have about one million visitors in the city of Lisbon, so in order to ensure the accessibility of people to the areas where the main activities will take place, the Lisbon City Council has prepared a plan with adjustment to mobility dynamics.

Dates and locations with restrictions:
Parque Eduardo VII - August 1, 3 and 4
Parque Tejo - August 5 and 6
Passeio Marítimo de Algés - August 6

In order to have better accessibility and mobility to the indicated areas and the surrounding perimeter, a Mobility and Transport Plan - PMT was developed, which includes:

Transport Plan: The pedestrian method will be privileged, however there will be a reinforcement in the offer of access to public transport, with special focus on the hours of the day, preceding and following the central events. However, some of the Metro and Train stations will be closed and Carris Metropolitana lines that will be suppressed, among others.

Parking Plan: Several parking spaces have been identified in the vicinity of the central event venues, within walking distance, totalling an additional 13,250 parking spaces for national and foreign buses. For light vehicles, it is recommended to park on the public road and in the concessionary car parks, which have 32,000 spaces on offer.
