Visualize the Ismaili Center full of visitors. The gallery is full of paintings, illustrations, a couple of beautiful sculptures and photographs. Another room, entirely dedicated to cinema, screens short films created by young artists from the Jamat. And the Social Hall prepared to receive our show of performing arts. Singers, dancers, poets – all expressing their art!
It's going to be beautiful!
We will have 3 major areas:
- The Art Gallery will be a space exclusively dedicated to displaying the visual art of our talented artists and its primary objective is to encourage art appreciation in the Jamat by providing a visual platform to experience the diversity of thoughts, cultures, media and contexts. We will feature a new "Youth" category to uplift and inspire skilled young artists.
- As part of the Art Gallery, we will have a space dedicated to the Cinema category. It will be a space to celebrate the collaborative efforts of the various components of cinema, including production, directing, writing, motion graphics, animation, storytelling, scoring and acting. The Film category will also include a Youth category to uplift and inspire skilled young artists.
- The Performing Arts Showcase will present the best talents from Portugal and Spain in the major categories of Vocal Music, Instrumental Music, Dance and Creative Arts (Acting, Monologues, Narratives, Spoken word, stand-up comedy, Martial Arts, Magic, etc.). The Performing Arts Showcase will also feature a Youth category to uplift and inspire skilled young artists.
We are also looking for volunteers to join our team to make this Festival an event that will go down in the history of the Jamat in Portugal!
