During this journey that we call life, we live moments of enormous joy and happiness and others of deep concern and sadness.

Life is neither flat nor linear, so we choose different paths with different roads. In some we find beauty to behold, bridges to cross, and joy to “enjoy”. In others, we stumble over fissures, and obstacles that force us stop to think about alternative paths and thus continue our journey.

As we acquire knowledge and life experience, our horizons and the way we look at ourselves, and the world, gain perspective and also depth. This means that we are dealing better with frustrations, fears and emotions.

However, we are the ones who have to choose which roads are less turbulent and dangerous, and we are also the ones who have to ask for and accept help when we are disoriented or lost. To do this, we need to remain alert and active so that we do not fall into the traps of despair, melancholy, and hopelessness, not allowing them to rob us of vitality and the will to continue to believe that we still have dreams to fulfil.

Its learning, the positive and the negative, that allows us to give meaning to our feelings and behaviours, and to leave our footprints in the world.

In childhood, we started by receiving love, affection, food and teachings. As we grow up, we learn to give and give back, sometimes out of obligation and sometimes from the heart. We also get to know each other better, thus realizing how far we want to go and when we have to go back. More adults already understand the value of hope and time, and that sometimes it is worth fighting for and at other times we have to know how to wait and then move on.

So there are always horizons to glimpse... It remains for us to decide with what colours we want to draw them.
