PRESIDENTIAL DECREE Nº 173/21 FROM 08th JULY 2021

Update on the Exceptional and Temporary Measures in Force During the Public Calamity Situation:

Measures already in place that was just reinforced:

• Mandatory use of face mask in public and private establishments and institutions as well as on public street.
• Sanitary fence around Luanda province.
• Parties, weddings, birthday celebrations, etc., can only be done at home and with a maximum of 15 people.
• Night clubs and beaches still closed.
• Mandatory quarantine up to 10 days when coming from abroad.
• Religious activities allowed every day of the week.
• Public transportation continues to work on a maximum capacity of 75%.
• Beaches use still not allowed.

Main modifications:

• The current measures are now valid for all Angolan Provinces (no more different measures in Luanda versus the rest of the provinces).
• Recommendation of home enclosure from 24:00 to 05:00 (previously was from 22:00 to 05:00).
• Public and private institutions to work with a maximum of 75% work force and allowed to work until 17:00.
• Federated sporting activities/competitions can have a maximum of 25% spectators.
• Individual practice of sports from 05:00 to 20:00.
• Commercial activities (supermarkets, shops, etc.) can work from 07:00 to 20:00.
• Restaurants, bars and similar -> Open all days of the week, from 06:00 to 22:00 (prohibition of dance floors and dance spaces).
• Street markets and street sale -> All days of the week until 18:00.
• Cinemas allowed to open until 22:00.
