Sufi music refers to a form of devotional music, and its roots are inspired by poets such as Rumi and Hafiz. It could be said that the songs, through their melody, lyrics and performance, attempt to unite the musician and the listener with the Divine. Hence the title of this special show, Mehfil-e-Noor, the concert of light.
