Continuing the efforts across Pakistan, numerous trees were planted to promote a healthier planet and sustainable practices for future generations. In the Central region, Girl Guides, Boy Scouts, and Volunteers from Multan and Bahawalpur launched a campaign to encourage the principles of “Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle.”
In Karachi, members of the Darkhana Boy Scouts unit, under Ismaili CIVIC, collaborated with Beaconhouse School System to organise tree plantations and awareness sessions.
Aga Khan Education Service, Pakistan united 800 participants including students, teachers and communities for significant initiatives, including tree plantations, clean-up drives and workshops involving thousands of participants from Hunza, Ishkoman Puniyal, Gupis Yasin, Gilgit and Chitral.
Simultaneously, in Hafizabad, Ismaili CIVIC joined hands with the Aga Khan Health Board and the Aga Khan Education Board to organize a stress management session benefiting 48 students at the Knowledge School. One participant shared, “I learned some amazing coping strategies, like deep breathing and mindfulness. I cannot wait to practice them in my daily life.”
Ultimately, environmental stewardship fosters a sense of responsibility and connection to nature, encouraging individuals and communities to adopt sustainable practices. It not only protects the physical world but also enhances human well-being by promoting a healthier, more sustainable environment.
