That’s why the Aga Khan University’s newest faculty has built its undergraduate curriculum around it.
The Ismaili CIVIC Pakistan introduced a module on Climate Change and Environmental Sustainability for schools to aid teachers and parents understand the fundamental concepts of Climate Change and Environment. The module is developed in partnership with LUMS Learning Institute, Aga Khan University – Institute for Educational Development (AKU-IED) and Aga Khan Education Service, Pakistan.
Last November, forty bright minds from across Pakistan worked together virtually to address some of the pressing cultural challenges facing their communities at the Arts and Culture Hackathon 2021.

In his address during the foundation laying ceremony of the Aga Khan Academy in Dhaka, Bangladesh, Mawlana Hazar Imam spoke of the intersection of education and faith. He said that, “The Holy Qur’an sees the discovery of knowledge as a spiritual responsibility, enabling us to better understand and more ably serve God’s creation.”
Aga Khan Education Service, Pakistan lays the foundation of two state-of-the-art regional Aga Khan Higher Secondary Schools in Gupis and Yasin, promising continuity of quality education until grade 12 for the students of the region.
In the quest for a memorable occasion, the bride and groom often overlook one fundamental detail which, as it happens, will seal their impending marriage: the Nikahnama. A Nikahnama is a formal, legally binding contract that solemnises the bride and groom’s union in accordance with Sharia. It outlines the rights and obligations of the newlyweds in Islamic marriage proceedings. This video presses upon the importance of a Nikahnama and its clauses, which a bride and groom should read and understand before signing.

After graduation, 13-year-old Sadaqat Shah aspires to become a writer. Although he suffers from an impairment since childhood and the distance from his village to the school is 2km, he does not allow his frailty, or the stretch of road, to hinder the path of achieving his dream.
