Location - Hyderabad
Qualification - MSW / Social Sciences / bachelor’s degree with certification in disaster management.
Experience - Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience
Job Responsibilities -
- Ensure smooth implementation of disaster risk reduction programmes at regional level as per the approved plans and budget.
- Responsible for regional level project designing, budgeting, implementation, and monitoring of DRR programmes.
- Be focal point of contact for disaster risk management activities in the region.
- Conduct appropriate field research to determine needs and contexts, establishing strategic direction, setting objectives, planning detailed activities, monitoring progress, providing solution, and course
- correction.
- Develop need-based Disaster Risk Management training curriculum.
- Conduct regular field visits to monitor the project implementation process and prepare periodic progress reports as required.
- Provide technical support to set up Emergency Operation Centre during disaster.
- Identify, recruit and train volunteers & other stakeholders on various aspects of disaster risk management
- Closely monitor & report disaster warnings & events to relevant stakeholders.
- Maintain good relationship with target communities, relevant government authorities, Non Government Organizations and other relevant stakeholders.
- Provide support to PH (DRR) for developing new concept notes and project proposals from regional context
- Provide leads for income generating areas of opportunities in disaster preparedness and response fields
- To ensure that project documents are complete, updated and maintained appropriately.
- Work with the Monitoring & Evaluation Team to track indicators set in the project’s logical framework & take timely corrective actions.
- In collaboration with the Monitoring & Evaluation Team and Communication Officer, identify lessons learnt” and “best practices” as well as develop project success stories for wider dissemination.
- Prepare presentations and documentation for relevant stakeholders.
- Any other responsibilities assigned by Programme Head (DRR)
