Ya Ali Madad,
Volunteering is a fundamental building block of civil society. It is most important that we continue to render our voluntary service not only within the community but to the communities in which we live in this era of globalisation and continuous change where the world is becoming smaller and more interdependent. Volunteering, either through individual or group action, is a way in which the human values of community, caring, sharing and serving can be sustained and strengthened. It allows connections to be made across social barriers that push us apart in our day to day lives allowing us to thus live together in peace and harmony in healthy, sustainable communities, working together to provide innovative solutions to our shared challenges and to shape our collective destinies.
As we know, volunteer work and service to humanity is an important aspect of our faith. All time and knowledge that we give is a true source of gratitude and blessings.
