Designation -Program Head
Location - Mumbai
Qualification - Master's degree with specialization in disaster management or social science
Experience - Minimum 10 years experience in disaster risk management programming.
Job Responsibilities -
- Programme Head (IS & DRR) is responsible to support Head of Emergency Management in ensuring the smooth and effective functioning of IS and DRR portfolios of Emergency Management Department at national level.
- Leading the team of development professionals i.e. Sr. Manager (IS & DRR) and Regional Programme Managers (DRR) to ensure the timely and quality programme deliverables.
- Regularly reviewing and monitoring the disaster risks and disaster preparedness in AKAH
- India’s priority states and ensuring that the state teams and volunteers are prepared to respond to these risks.
- Ensure that project documents are complete and maintained appropriately.
- In collaboration with the Monitoring & Evaluation Team and Communication Officer, identify lessons learned” and “best practices” as well as develop project success stories for wider dissemination. Contribute to Knowledge management initiatives of organisation.
- Produce relevant presentations and documentation to key group and relevant stakeholders.

Training; Leadership; Negotiating; Problem Solving; Planning and Coordination and Language Skills
(proficient in English and Hindi. Knowledge of other regional languages will be value additions
