The Dar-at-Ta’lim students initiated the Salgirah preparations on December 5th, creating the decorations in their homes and buying the list of ingredients for the cake for Mawlana Hazar Imam’s 84th birthday - a cake made together in a very special virtual moment on December 12th. On this day, classes were dedicated to understanding the meaning of Salgirah, where students were invited to offer something to the Imam of the Time. Many students decided to offer “commitments” - putting more effort into studies, helping one another, respecting the daily prayers, amongst others, making this date even more special with an individual reflection.
During the “Show me how” session, all the educational community (students, parents, teachers, staff and ITREB members) had the chance to learn how to make a cookie cake taught by the school’s students. It was a moment of great joy for everyone, where it was possible to live and celebrate Salgirah together.
We thank all students, parents and teachers who participated in this initiative and made everyone’s day richer and happier. This was moment of sharing for the whole Portuguese jurisdiction - Portugal, Spain and Angola - and had great impact on the families.
