Healthcare hero - Munira Rafiq Allana

I am Munira Rafiq Allana, originally from Karachi, Pakistan.  I am married to Rafiq Allana and I came to Spain in 2010

I studied nursing at the Aga Khan University Hospital in Karachi, where I obtained my diploma. I have 10 years of work experience in the Aga Khan Hospital as a registered nurse in the medical and day care ward.

During my stay in Madrid, I had the privilege to serve as Kamadiani of the Jamat, also coinciding with Mawlana Hazir Imam's Diamond Jubilee.

Due to professional reasons I have moved to London with my husband and currently I am working at East Surrey Hospital - NHS (National Health) as nursing assistant in the stroke ward.

Thanks to the blessings and Dua Ashish of Mawlana Hazir Imam I have the strength and courage to serve and meet my professional and ethical requirements in the pandemic phase.

I appreciate the love and guidance of the members of the Madrid Jamat, who always make me feel like a member of the family.
