Dear Jamati Members,

On the auspicious occasion of Imamat Day, the Mukhis, Kamadias, Mukhianis, Kamadianis and the Jamati leadership of Pakistan extend felicitations marking the 63rd anniversary of Mawlana Hazar Imam’s leadership as our 49th Imam.

We convey our deepest gratitude for the collective efforts of Imamat institutions, volunteers and partners who are working tirelessly to assist those affected by the Covid-19 pandemic. We are humbled by your selfless spirit and dedicated service during this extraordinary crisis.

Our community demonstrates an unparalleled level of compassion, generosity, and dedication in realization of Mawlana Hazar Imam’s vision of a united Jamat that supports and uplifts each other. Health workers have fearlessly battled the pandemic to save Covid-19 patients and those who unfortunately succumbed were safely ensured last rites with the help of volunteers braving extreme heat wearing heavy Personal Protective Equipment. Members of the Jamat have also volunteered their time and made contributions to provide food for quarantined Jamati members, deliver financial assistance to those in need and support the continued education of REC students through innovative online classes. And as the crisis unfolded, AKDN institutions have been a pillar of support in providing critical services. These are just a few examples of the services that are a source of pride and inspire us to further strengthen our efforts for the Jamat’s well-being.

The Jamat can support the efforts of our institutions and volunteers by playing their part and taking responsibility for their actions. As we adjust to living with the COVID-19 pandemic, it is important that the Jamat continues to abide by the instructions for proper hygiene, implementing physical distancing and wearing a mask.

We are fortunate to have a living Imam whose life is dedicated to uniting us in our spiritual journey and worldly life with constant guidance and protection. On Imamat Day, let us renew our commitment, as One Jamat, to remain steadfast on sirat-ul-mustaqeem, be regular in our prayers and be generous with our time, knowledge and resources to fulfill our civic responsibilities for the welfare of others.

May this auspicious day bring Barakat and spiritual enlightenment.

President,
Ismaili Council for Pakistan
