President Rahmon and Hazar Imam discussed areas of regional cooperation and AKDN’s shared agenda to promote social and economic development in Central Asia. The Paris Peace Forum is an annual global meeting bringing together international stakeholders in open dialogue towards global governance, international cooperation and collective action for a peaceful world.
Mawlana Hazar Imam first visited the Jamat in Tajikistan in 1995, and has since established institutions to improve the quality of life of the Jamat and wider society in the country. The Ismaili Centre in Dushanbe opened in 2009 and represents the Ismaili Imamat’s first high-profile building in Central Asia.
The Ismaili Jamatkhana and Centre in Khorog was opened last year, and is the latest in a series of developments, which will serve the flourishing of the Jamat and the surrounding communities for decades to come.
