Attractions
Considered among the world’s most popular tourist destinations, Dubai offers sunshine throughout the year, world-class leisure facilities, beautiful beaches and parks, shopping malls, as well as exciting attractions and experiences.
It is also home to a rich sporting tradition. Camel racing, falconry and traditional dhow racing are part of Dubai’s heritage and culture. Modern sport events include boat racing, the Dubai World Cup (the world’s richest horse race) and the Dubai Tennis Open, among others.
Another exciting event to watch for in the summer months is the Dubai Summer Surprise — a family-themed festival. Thousands of retail stores participate in this annual event offering bargain shopping. Visitors can also enjoy numerous indoor attractions and events.
Dubai boasts the largest shopping mall in the world — the Dubai Mall — which has famous international brands and designers as well as an aquarium where you can dive alongside sharks. Dubai is probably the only city in the world where you can experience sand duning and skiing — both in the same day.
