Toronto, 31 January 2015 — Milad-un-Nabi marks the anniversary of the birth of Prophet Muhammed (may peace be upon him and his family). To commemorate this anniversary, the Ismaili Centre, Toronto held a lecture that marked the inauguration of a thematic programme titled Cities of Arrival, which takes a look at how humanity will coexist, as our cities grow more dense and diverse.
Dubai, 29 January 2015 — His Excellency Umej Singh, Singapore’s Ambassador to United Arab Emirates and His Excellency Cheong Ming Foong, Singapore’s Consul General to United Arab Emirates, visited the Ismaili Centre, Dubai and met with the President of the Ismaili Council for United Arab Emirates.
Dubai, 27 January 2015 — Tariq Al Gurg, Chief Executive Officer of Dubai Cares visited the Ismaili Centre, Dubai and met with the President of the Ismaili Council for United Arab Emirates.
Toronto, 22 January 2015 — Dr Lisa Giudice, Regional Primary Care Lead (North) and Dr Ed Kucharski, Regional Primary Care Lead (South) delivered the 3.0 Mainpro-M1 accredited presentation for healthcare providers on cervical and colorectal screening in the presence of 90 family physicians and allied health professionals.
Lisbon, 20 January 2015 — Her Excellency Leena Salim Moazzam, Pakistan’s Ambassador to Portugal, visited the Ismaili Centre, Lisbon and met with the AKDN Resident Representative, Vazir Nazim Ahmad, and the Vice-President of the Ismaili Council for Portugal, Huzur Mukhi Rahim Firozali. During her visit the ambassador received a tour of the Ismaili Centre and learnt about the work of the Aga Khan Development Network.
Vancouver, 15 January 2015 — British Columbia’s Minister of Environment, the Honourable Mary Polak, together with civil servants from the Intergovernmental Relations Secretariat and Climate Action Secretariat for BC met with Dr Mahmoud Eboo, AKDN Resident Representative for Canada; Malik Talib, President of the Ismaili Council for Canada and Samir Manji, President of the Ismaili Council for BC.
Lisbon, 8 January 2015 — Her Excellency, Kirsty Isobel Hayes, the British ambassador to Portugal visited the Ismaili Centre, Lisbon and met with the AKDN Resident Representative, Vazir Nazim Ahmad, and the President of the Ismaili Council, Aitmadi Amirali Bhanji.
London, 26–29 November 2014 — The annual Nour Festival of Arts, which shines a light on contemporary Middle Eastern and North African arts and culture, was held across the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea during October and November 2014.
