In this Q&A, John McConnell, Editor of The Lancet Infectious Diseases, was able to separate the knowns from the unknowns of COVID-19, whilst speculating on how the pandemic might evolve in the UK and elsewhere, including the developing world. He also offered some excellent insights into what concrete next steps should be taken for the world to defeat this novel disease.
