Qualification - Bachelor's degree in Geoinformatics / Information Technology, Specialized certification in Disaster Management. Masters preferred
Experience - Minimum 5 years of experience in GIS and Data Management.
Job Responsibilities -
- Ensure successful design, implementation, and oversight of GIS and Data Management activities across emergency management projects.
- Lead hazard, vulnerability, and risk assessments (HVRA) by utilizing GIS and advanced data analysis techniques, and subsequently, contribute to the preparation of comprehensive disaster management plans.
- Design and develop an efficient and reliable Geographic Information System (GIS) and Data Management framework to facilitate habitat planning and effective decision-making during emergencies and disasters.
- Oversee the collection, validation, and compilation of accurate data for GIS databases, surveying techniques, mapping research, and analytical skills.
- Customize and design spatial and non-spatial data infrastructure using SQL Server, Ms Access, Visual Studio, and Android mobile platforms, in conjunction with ArcGIS Desktop, ArcGIS Server, ArcSDE, and manifold GIS for data collection, management, and analysis.
Skills Required -
- Thorough knowledge of ArcMAP 10.6 and SQL Server 2014 are a must.
- Knowledge of QGIS 2.14 would be an added advantage.
