Join host Mursal Bahri for the first instalment of Celebrating 50, a special behind-the-scenes look at this week's commemorative events taking place across Canada. Day one includes highlights from the Municipal Honours ceremony held in Toronto.
On day one, the Key to the City of Toronto was awarded to Mawlana Hazar Imam and a segment of Wynford Drive was ceremonially named Aga Khan Boulevard. The honours acknowledge Mawlana Hazar Imam's work to improve the quality of life of all people, regardless of their origin or background.
Prince Amyn accepted the honours on behalf of Mawlana Hazar Imam and thanked Mayor John Tory and the City of Toronto for the special gesture.
