The Ismaili is pleased to announce an Imamat Day programme streaming on The Ismaili TV, on 9-11 July, featuring content to entertain and inspire the Jamat as we celebrate the milestone 65th Imamat Day of our beloved Mawlana Hazar Imam.

The weekend’s festivities will include films from the archives celebrating the achievements of our beloved Hazar Imam, along with new content produced especially for the Jamat on this joyous occasion:

Sapphire Celebration (Saturday 9 July)

Exclusively produced for The Ismaili TV, this programme will be hosted from three Ismaili Centres on three different continents. The show comprises various musical items, produced for The Ismaili Sounds for Imamat Day, and will feature musicians from around the world, including well-known artists such as Salim-Sulaiman, Shehzad Roy, Nobovar, Takkat, Faisal Kapadia, Natasha Baig, Farhan Shah, The Sufistics, and many more.

The one-hour-long programme will also feature a special message to Mawlana Hazar Imam from all the Ismaili Council Presidents across the world on behalf of the global Jamat, as well as some fun and exciting content for children.

An interview with Prince Amyn (Sunday 10 July)

In an exclusive interview for The Ismaili TV, Prince Amyn will share stories from his childhood growing up with Mawlana Hazar Imam, and about their relationship with their grandfather, our beloved 48th Imam, Mawlana Sultan Mahomed Shah. He will speak about AKDN’s activities and some of Hazar Imam’s priorities over the past 65 years.

This is a valuable opportunity to hear about Hazar Imam from someone who has been by his side for most of his life, and to gain a deeper understanding into Hazar Imam’s work across many decades.

The weekend’s programming will also include numerous musical segments, featuring well-loved songs and brand-new ones recorded especially for the occasion of Imamat Day by Zaheed Damani, Sameer Remtulla, Amin Bhatia, and K4.

We invite the Jamat to mark this milestone occasion by joining us virtually this weekend to share the experience of Imamat Day together globally as One Jamat. To view the programme line up and schedule in your time zone, see the TV Guide at The Ismaili TV.
