Global Encounters is made possible by a large group of dedicated, energetic, and passionate volunteers, many of whom are alumni. Given that there are numerous streams of work that need to be undertaken to run the program, sustain its energy, and ensure excellence for the segments of the communities it serves, we are always looking for individuals to bring expertise, skill, and an unquenchable thirst for impact in the form of sustained voluntary service. 

The Partners in Change page allows us to openly advertise positions available within Global Encounters for any individual to apply to - alumni or not. 1. Alumni Association Director and Deputy Director, Global Encounters Alumni Association

We are recruiting for an Alumni Association Director and Deputy Director. These positions are responsible for oversight and management of the alumni association, including adhering to the original vision and mission, leading the development of the strategy, recruiting and liaising with a volunteer workforce, interacting and managing partnerships, overseeing implementation of the key pillars of actions, and ensuring the success and sustainability of the GE AA.

The position is voluntary, part-time (minimum of 10-15 hours weekly).

2. Regional Content Lead (3) - Global Encounters Alumni Hub USA.

GE alumni for the United States are working to create an Alumni Hub and are looking for region-specific leads. As a content lead for your regions, your responsibilities would include but would not be limited to:

  • tracking the impact of events in the region and documenting, analyzing, and interpreting feedback based on learnings at the regional level
  • creating content for region specific events and evaluating impact of events based on region
  • collaborating with logistics to execute successful events.

The time commitment would be 5 hours per month. Only GE alumni residing in the United States are eligible for the positions.

3. Regional Logistics Lead (3) - Global Encounters Alumni Hub USA.

GE alumni for the United States are working to create an Alumni Hub, and we are on the search for region-specific leads. As a logistics lead for your regions, your responsibilities would include but would not be limited to:

  • Leading operations of the regional hub
  • Working with local leadership to book spaces, procure supplies, and manage finances (if any)
  • Managing event registration
  • Tracking metrics (attendance, evaluation, etc).
  • Working with content lead to implement events and initiatives. 

The time commitment would be 5 hours per month. Only GE alumni residing in the United States are eligible for the positions.
