The University of Central Asia (UCA) and the University of Cambridge came together to sign historic partnership agreements at ceremonies in Cambridge and London on 25 and 26 February 2020. The events in the UK were attended by Princess Zahra, along with senior leaders from UCA and the University of Cambridge.

The three winners of the 2019 Global Pluralism Award: Aung Kyaw Moe on behalf of the Centre for Social Integrity, an organisation that provides youth from Myanmar’s conflict-affected regions with the skills to be leaders for change; Deborah Ahenkorah, a Ghanaian social entrepreneur and book publisher; and Igor Radulović on behalf of Learning History that is not yet History, a network in the Balkans developing a new approach to teaching the history of conflict.

Pluralism in action: Global Pluralism Award winners tell their story

The Global Centre for Pluralism (GCP) hosted the second biennial Global Pluralism Award ceremony in November 2019. At the ceremony, presided over by Mawlana Hazar Imam and attended by many members of the GCP’s Board, including Princess Zahra, the Centre recognised three winners who will each receive a $50,000 grant to help them continue their work.

In November 2019, Prince Hussain offered a series of guided tours to Ismaili youth and children visiting his photographic exhibit in Lisbon. The exhibition features over 100 photos depicting the beauty, fragility, and diversity of marine life, reflecting Prince Hussain’s ecological and environmental concerns.

Prince Hussain visited the Ismaili Centre, Lisbon yesterday to inaugurate an exhibition of artwork designed by students from the Portugal Jamat’s Talim (religious education) classes, inspired by The Living Sea photo exhibition currently on display at the National Museum of Natural History and Science in Lisbon.

Mawlana Hazar Imam presided over the 14th cycle of the award, which is presented every three years to projects that set new standards of excellence in architecture, planning practices, historic preservation, and landscape architecture.

Mawlana Hazar Imam toured the site of the Ismaili Center Houston yesterday, 22 November, alongside the Center’s design team and the leadership of the USA Jamat. During his trip, Mawlana Hazar Imam also met with City of Houston Mayor the Honorable Sylvester Turner.

Earlier today, 12 November, Mawlana Hazar Imam joined over 30 world leaders for the opening session of the second Paris Peace Forum where he met with leaders and ministers from various countries.
